Thanks for coming to my blog from the video (if you come here anyway, then the video is here)

YouTube said my write up was too long so here it is.

So vlog2 is more of a plea than a diary. If you don’t like this, thanks for taking an interest in me hope you find some awesome cats on YouTube. Those of you still here thanks for staying and letting me say my piece.

The long and the short of it is this, I run an online alternative fashion store online called Voluptupuss. It was originally mean to be a plus size only store but I felt wrong aboutp promoting love for your body while excluding people, so in October I started supplying all sizes UK8-32.

I came up with the idea of Voluptupuss in 2010 when I was tired of going around Camden and finding really awesome clothes but not being able to wear them. I struggle with my weight, and even though I am actively working on being the size I want to be, in the mean time I want to look smoking hot, and I’m sure there are plenty of people out there too who are the same. Whether you are happy with your size or not, you deserve the right to look smoking hot.

Voluptupuss was born April 2011 and went live May 1st 2011, in that time I’ve had quite a lot of interest and sales and I am currently in profit.

I started off with £200 for hosting and domain reg and a little bit of stock. I still mostly order in when people order, but I do hold a little bit of stock in my office at home. I would love to have much more stock on hand so I can have a quick turn around for customers.

Last week (Mid Jan) I had a call from a guy at Skin Deep magazine, telling me about their great new convention, the Great British Tattoo Convention and asking if I would like a stall. I know it was just marketing, but they had found my store online and took the time out to contact a very small online business. I would really love to do this.

I would need £5000 to cover the rent for the days of the convention, plus enough stock to make it worthwhile to the 10,000+ people who would be going to the convention at Earls Court in April.

I am not asking you to donate your money willy nilly, all I ask is you go to my website and buy a £1 gift voucher. Keep it and use it later in the lifespan of the store, or throw it, or give it to someone, I don’t mind what you do with it. The £1 will help me out. If I can get 5000 people to buy a voucher, that’s £5000. I need it before the end of Feb, so I can buy the stock and stuff in March and make it to the con in April.

Life after the con.

With the profit made at the Great British Tattoo Convention, I would look to opening a once a month stall at the London Fetish Fair, get a propper office/studio with storage space and advertise better. I would also be able to pay for a merchant account to begin accepting creditcards.

And don’t think I would forget you guys. Everyone who buys a gift voucher this way will be put on a special mailing list, and I will look to hold an event once Voluptupuss becomes the success it can be.

Thanks for taking the time to watch the video, and read my plea. Feel free to email me on info@voluptupuss.co.uk if you want any more info or check out the site at www.voluptupuss.co.uk

Extra: I did toy with the idea of making a shorter, bullets point version, but I thought it would cheapen it some how. I’m almost in tears, in fact I had to stop filming at point (and cut bits out) because I did cry. I know, stupid eh. It’s hard for me to ask for this help, I wanted to do Voluptupuss with as little help as possible but the banks won’t loan to small business’ at the moment, and I don’t qualify (due to my age) for any financial help from the government. Every “angels” site i’ve seen wants you to pay money to see if anyone answers your proposal, that’s if it makes it past their screening process. I’ve tried every alternative I can think of, and this is my last gasp attempt to get to the con.

Again, thanks for watching. Love always. xx
