As you guys know, i’m all for making lists. I make a big one every week and split it down into daily goals. I like my note book, but when I get my office sorted how I want it I may make this awesome rotating goal list which I found in one of the blogs I follow.

To do, playlists and vlogging oh my.

Last week I didn’t get much written in my blog as I had little inspiration and was also looking after my poorly dear half. I got a lot done around the house though. My to do list for the week revolved around work and the kitchen. I followed flylady through the week and my kitchen is looking much better than it was.
This week concentrates on the bathroom and another room (ie guest room) as I don’t have a guest room, then it will be the two bathrooms. If there is something on the Flylady list I can’t do, because of body limitation or I don’t have a specific thing, then I do a 15 min clean/declutter. Which is what I did today.
These are the before shots of each bathroom sink. When I do a 15 min declutter I have a spotify playlist, rather than a stop watch that Flylady recommends, then I can have music on while I clean and I know when that playlist is over, my 15 mins is over. On today’s play list was Xanadu, Mr Deadman, Straight to Video, Raise Your Glass and Roll to Me. You can get the play list here, but I do change it every day.
Thanks to cleaning and checking use by dates I was able to recycle five of the Lush black pots, which means I will be able to pick up a free face mask later this week to treat myself with.
I have been thinking about volgging once a week. I tried this a while back with the weight loss group I was doing things with, but soon stopped as I had nothing really to talk about. I’m thinking a 2-3 min ramble about anything really. Maybe gaming, make up and stuff about being a girl gamer maybe. Any ideas? Do you vlog? What do you talk about? I’ve been following some pretty awesome female vloggers the last year or so and they keep inspiring me to join their ranks on YouTube, so maybe I will.

Kitchen, Batfit & To do list.

Cleaning
This week on flylady is the kitchen. The kitchen doesn’t need much doing to it to keep it tidy. I keep on top of the dishwasher and washing daily, the rest is little cosmetic things. I am thinking of giving my kitchen a make over. Some of the canisters are worn and tired looking, the cooker needs a clean and I did something today I haven’t done before, cleaned the cooker hood. I replaced the filter and I’m glad I did as it was a little grotty in there. It’s something I forget, but I plan on doing maybe ever six months. I decluttered the kitchen, pulled off all the appliances and cleaned under them then replaced them. I want a new kettle but can’t really afford it at the moment.
Batfit 2012
I am keeping up with the thankful for list for batfit, but the dancing, I can’t do every day. I do a lot of moving around when cleaning and I go for a walk, but my mobility isn’t the best. So here we are, the weekends thankful for list.
- Friends Birthdays – I know I said I wouldn’t drink in January, but it was my friends birthday and I’d had a bit of a shitty day Friday. So Saturday was a fun time out.
- Film Nights – I have reintroduced film nights at home every two weeks. I hope to introduce films to my dear half that he hasn’t seen and he one’s I haven’t seen. This fortnight was The Blues Brothers, which I have no idea why I haven’t seen it before. I loved it.
- Friends – Again, friends come to my rescue. I’ve had one person invest a little bit into my business to help me get the stall at the LFF. I plan to get this bitch rolling!
- Tea – Tea makes everything better.
- Random Music – a friend introduced me to songs to wear pants by and i’ve not stopped listening
- Shops open at late times – Because of you I was able to get lipstick and hair ties on the way to a night out cos I was silly and left mine at home, thanks for working at 8pm!
- Night Busses - without which my ride home from London would be as expensive as the night out itself.
- Being Alive - even though things felt quite down over the weekend, I am alive and have a lot to look forwards to.
To do List
Not only do I have the kitchen to keep up on, I have a lot of work related things to do this week. I sorted out the budget for LFF stall stuff, and have applied for some financial help around the place. It’s kept me on top of taking the garbage down and actually making me do the jobs I don’t want to do. If it’s written down it’s harder to ignore it. I’ve also been looking for some work from home things to make some extra money around the house, but not found anything yet. I know I should look for another part time job, but I want to put a bit of effort into the business for a while.
