This morning I woke later than I had intended, arond 8.30 am and had to get ready quick and head out to wait for the Queen to visit my town.
It was cold, it was windy and it was raining and I forgot my hat.
I packed my breakfast into a portable bottle, the same as yesterday, 100mls actimel, 100mls protein shake, little bit of almond milk and my meds into my lunch box. Then I went out to meet the OH family and had my breakfast shake while we waited.. and waited.
For lunch I just had some smoked salmon (50g) mixed with my fage sea food sauce which worked out at 15g of protien.
When we got back from seeing the Queen and sitting with family for lunch I was very tired from standing out in the cold, so went for an hours nap that turned into two then had two of my little Waitrose seafood entree’s for a snack as I wouldn’t get dinner until late as I am off to meditation class at 6.
Meditation at the Yoga Barn was amazing. After getting soaked in the rain walking there I sat wrapped in a blanket and we started. She explained the three stages they use, Pranayama (breath control), Pratyahara (withdrawal of senses), and Dharana (focusing the mind on a single point). I was then invited to stay for the Kirtan group afterwards which I was unsure of but happy to try.
I sung along to the chants, and was unsure to begin with but then during one of them I seemed to zone out. The music, drums and singing were still there but I was by a camp fire, with a clear night sky above me. Half in the desert and half in the woods. Around the fire was a mixture of gypsies, native American Indians and Buddhists chanting, playing instruments and dancing.
It was an amazing swept up feeling then I was suddenly back in the yoga barn. This happened about three times. Such an amazing feeling, and even walking down the dark street, through the woods to my bus stop home I felt at peace and happy with the world.
Dinner when I got home was just a handfull of salmon, a boiled egg, melted camembert and some cranberry sauce. I wasn’t really in the mood to cook.
Protein intake 44g out of a goal of 60-80g
