Tomorrow we’re having “Billy Bonkers Tea Party” as our theme. We have to go dressed as one of the products. Thanks to +Faith Bray and +Lucy Fletcher we went with Flying Fox.

I already have a pair of fox ears (borrowed from +Charlie Morris ) and a semi fox tail (which was the tail for my ginger cat, Bonfire, until her ears got broken at +sandy keighley ’s) and I only had £2 and I don’t get paid for another week so couldn’t go and get wings. So I decided to maker Flying Fox into a superhero, for all your relaxation needs.

I had an old pvc corset that had disintergrated and ripped slightly and decieded to try to duct tape modify that. I went to the pound shop and they only had silver duct tape and some smaller colours of white, blue, black and green in a pack. So I got them and came home.

I wacked on some Jonathan Coulton and set to work.

First off I seperated the corset into two halves. I decided to tape up the bulk of the corset first, then the bit at the back and then add some detail using a fur/flame effect, which was really tricky! I added a FF for flying fox, which keeps pealing so I dunno how long that will last. I will prob wear a tshirt with it, as it is a little TOO revealing for work.

I don’t think it’s come out too bad, I could do with a second roll of tape to reinforce it a little, and I think I should have gone horezontal rather than vertical with the tape as it splits at points.

For a first attempt at anything like this it’s pretty cool .. and I hope it stays together for my shift tomorrow.
