So today my plan was to do a bit of work in the house while the dragon took the vixen out around London. Anyway, that plan was scrapped when his work turned into a pain in the backside and made him go in. So I ended up tagging along ready to take the vixen out when he had to go in.
We went to the V&A which I have never been to. I couldn’t find my camera so will be going back there one day in the very close future to take LOTS of photos. Beautiful place, and free to get into, even the cloak room is free for my coat to go in.
Next was the Natural History Museum. I wasn’t that impressed by it. The dinosaur area was hard to find, we ended up going around the volcanoes and bugs section which was just walk around, look at bad photos and listen to badly recorded audio and video. Even the interactive sections seemed a little half arsed. Maybe good to teach the under 15s about earthquakes and volcanoes and how the earth works but that is about it. Even the area with the stuffed animals was dusty and not well looked after. I don’t know if this is because of the decision to cut museum funding and keep them free to get in. It did seem like it hadn’t had an upgrade since the 80s.
I had tickets to go see Russell Howard, due to not noticing the time we got there for when doors opened and it being first come first served (they over ticket) then we didn’t get in. I am pretty annoyed at myself for this, was really looking forwards to it, but instead I am going to cook spaghetti bolognase.
Other than that… a great day!
